Mike Pavelka is a seasoned author who hails from a humble background, born into a simple family with hardworking parents. Growing up, he was instilled with values of hard work, honesty, and integrity, shaping his character and setting the foundation for his future endeavors.
Mike’s father, who hadn’t completed high school due to his older brother being drafted for service in the South Pacific during World War II, worked tirelessly on the family farm until he, too, was drafted and sent to Europe. Witnessing his father’s dedication and sacrifice, Mike developed a deep appreciation for perseverance and a strong work ethic.
Inspired by his two uncles, Uncle Virgle and Uncle J.M., who both attended Texas A&M University, Mike set his sights on pursuing higher education. In 1970, he completed his studies at La Vega High School and seamlessly transitioned into the prestigious Texas A&M, where he joined the prestigious Corps of Cadets. As a member of Co. L-1, known as “The Lone Star,” Mike immersed himself in the Aggie discipline and invaluable lessons that would shape his future endeavors.
