About The Author Mike Pavelka
Author Mike Pavelka was born into a humble family with hardworking parents who instilled in them the values of hard work, honesty, and integrity. Their father, compelled by circumstances surrounding World War II, had to leave school to support his family on the farm before eventually being drafted to serve in Europe.
Mike completed their high school education at La Vega High School in 1970. Following their relatives’ footsteps, they enrolled in Texas A&M and joined the Corp of Cadets, specifically Co. L-1, known as “The Lone Star.” Through this experience, they learned invaluable lessons in discipline and leadership, eventually ascending to the position of commanding officer and earning the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Mike is now working on his upcoming project, “Aggies Goes To Africa,” and hopes readers will love his writing!
